Inside E210E210 houses much organized chaos as we venture into so many areas. We work independently, but much of our learning happens in collaborative groups.
The environment allows everyone to delve into their creativity and students are asked to bring who they are outside of the classroom into the classroom. We try and support one another by going to sporting events, concerts, plays, musicals, shows, etc. The energy level is quite exciting and it transcends into the hallway. Students usually hate the hard work, but love the class. I think it speaks for itself when students walk in here with a smile saying, "I'm ready to learn! Bring it on!" What more could a teacher ask for? |

Outside E210Outside of E210, I am still where my students are. I value who they are as individuals and not just as students in my classroom. I love seeing the work they are passionate about whether in sports, clubs, art, or other extra-curricular activities.
I have found that supporting them in their lives have in turn made them show up more in the classroom. Students are asked to invite me and their fellow classmates to their events by writing up the details of the event on the class Red Hawk Board. My promise to them is that I will make it to at least one of the events on the board. I attend events that aren't write on the board as well, so students expect me to be everywhere and know everything. This year I have also coached powderpuff, volley boys, the float decoration for Red Flannel, help with homecoming decorations and continued to chaperon all the school dances. I am not sure how long I will be able to give this much time to my Red Hawk community, but I will do so as long as I am able! |
